PUBLIC NOTICE: Invitation to a Public Hearing

In line with Section 11 of the Competition and Fair Trading Act, the Competition and Fair Trading Commission will hold a public hearing on Friday 16th May, 2014 at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.

The Schedule of cases to be considered at the public hearing is as follows:
• Report On Alleged Anti-Competitive Business Practises By Medical Aid Society Of Malawi (MASM)
• Report On Alleged Price Fixing By Insurance Association Of Malawi
• Report On Alleged Unfair Trading Practices By The Travel Centre
• Report On Alleged Unfair Trading Practices By Pep Stores
• Report On Alleged Anti-Competitive and Unfair Trading Practices By Central Poultry Limited and Alpha Milling Company

The CFTC is therefore inviting members of the public , and further appealing to any person or association , who in their opinion, will be affected or is likely to be affected by the result of the investigation carried out by the CFTC to make a written request to be heard during the hearing.
