CFTC’S NEW BOARD CONSTITUTED, INDUCTED

The new board of Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) has been reconstituted. The Board of Commissioners underwent a two-day induction training that took place from 18th to 19th December, 2019 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi.

The induction training was presided over by the Secretary for Industry, Trade and Tourism Dr. Ken Ndala. The board members were briefed about various issues concerning their mandate by various Government institutions that included Department of Statutory Corporations, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism as line ministry, Secretary to the Treasury and CFTC. COMESA Competition Commission also oriented the Commissioners on various competition and consumer protection issues in the region.
