Judges Colloquium
The Competition and Fair Trading Commission held a Judges Colloquium on 11th April 2014 in Mangochi. The event was officially opened by the Chief Justice, Dr Anastazia Msosa, SC. In her speech, Justice Msosa said competition law was adopted in Malawi to prevent powerful commercial enterprises or groups of enterprises from using their powers to compete in ways that distort competition and thereby harm other players in the economy. She said the role of the judiciary was to ensure that all parties are heard and that principles of fairness are upheld. Read more
