Signing Ceremony of MOU between MBS and CFTC
CFTC Executive Director Charlotte Wezi Malonda said in the mandates of the MBS and the Commission, there are several areas of concurrent jurisdiction on which the two institutions can work together in promoting consumer welfare in the country. The Bureau engages in product testing and inspection to ensure that traders sell goods that meet product safety standards. On the other hand, the Commission is mandated to regulate the market to prevent anticompetitive business practices and promote consumer protection. Read more
